“Per a good recommendation from another outfitter, I booked an elk hunt with Brad Lister and Coastal Inlet Adventures. Although Brad offers various types of hunts, I elected to do the hardcore backpack hunt as I wanted to be immersed in the beautiful forest in the Sunshine Coast. Brad coupled me with his guide Adam Culos. Adam is super knowledgeable, and even told me he thinks he’s an elk. Adam is a master at reading the terrain and sign, and is one the most optimistic persons I’ve ever met. After a day and a half of searching, we finally found fresh tracks, and the stalk was on. After several hours of tracking we were able to catch up to the herd, and I was blessed to take a beautiful 6×6. I’m not going to lie, it was one of the most difficult things I’ve done in my life. Although the rain forest is beautiful, it can be unforgiving. As such, the hunt is one of the most rewarding things I’ve done in my life, and that’s why I’ve elected to do it again! If you’re looking for an amazing Roosevelt elk hunt, I highly recommend Brad and his team of guides. Coastal Inlet Adventures does not disappoint!”

“By far the best outfitter experience I have had. This starts with the natural beaty of the coastal region of British Columbia which cannot be adequately described. One has to see it to believe it. The people of British Columbia, including our guides for this trip, Keith and Klaus are fantastic. Keith and Klaus were extremely familiar with the area we were hunting and at their craft. We were on bears throughout the hunt. If you have never done a coastal black bear hunt by boat, you must! It is one the most unique hunting experiences you can have in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
I had the opportunity to put several successful stalks on different bears in different locations. This culminated in harvesting a mature high quality bear. Each member of our party was able to harvest a high quality, mature bear. An added benefit to the coastal boat based hunt, is that you are able to experience the hunt together which created memories that will be cherished.
Brad at Coastal Inlet Adventures has a top-notch operation. The accommodations are great and the people are better. I would hunt any species anywhere with either Keith or Klaus. I plan to book with Brad as many times as I can in the future. Cannot wait to get back to British Columbia.”

Best hunting adventure I’ve ever experienced.
“I’ll start by saying all three in our party were successful at harvesting mature black bears. I have hunted and fished with outfitters all over North and South America. We hunted with Brad Lister and Coastal Inlet Adventures this past week, and I can honestly say it was the best hunting adventure I’ve ever experienced. Incredible beauty. You can’t believe your eyes. Our camp on the inlet was positioned under a glacier. We saw eagles, seals, dolphins, elk, deer and of course BIG BLACK BEARS.
Our guides were Keith Harvey and Klaus Wolff. Debbie was our camp cook and general purpose all-star. I’ve had all kinds of hunting and fishing guides over the years. These two were the BEST with which I have had the pleasure of hunting. Very helpful and understanding of your abilities and needs to be successful. I am convinced they are part mountain goat….but they never tried to walk us into the ground. From before the hunt to well after the kill, they handle everything. Also, to Debbie’s credit, the food was great and plentiful.
We were a party of three and from the very beginning they had us on bears. Each of us found large mature shooter bears and had epic stalks to make our kills. After the hunt, we filled our remaining days relaxing, fishing, harvesting fresh oysters, and hiking around a little. Best oysters I’ve ever had Keith knows just how to prepare them, raw or fresh.
I am going to be back as soon as possible for a big Roosevelt bull. Highly recommend. 5/5 stars. Would do, will do, again. “

“I enjoyed an extraordinary hunt with Coastal Inlet Adventures booked through Brad Lister. Three of us each harvested a mature black bear in a gratifying outing that was not only successful but also one of the most enjoyable hunts of my lifetime. Our guides, Klaus and Keith are first rate and treat you like family in the field as well as camp. It’s more like an outing among close friends rather than a guided hunt. The weather was perfect but had it been more traditional the hunt would still be superb. They are equipped and prepared for any contingency. They know where and when the bears will appear and we watched 8-10 mature boars each day, choosing from several options for stalking. Cabin is comfortable and fare is superb. The trip to camp from either Vancouver or Sechelt is easily achieved via ferry/boat or float plane. The country is awe inspiring, much like the hunting experience. Coastal Inlet Adventures has my unequivocal endorsement. Couldn’t have imagined a better adventure.”
